Intro to Modern (7-9 Years)
Modern is a dynamic and athletic genre of dance that is about experimentation and pushing the limits. This style of dance is about discovering new ways of using music and sound in relation to movement. Dancers receive an introduction to several Modern techniques.
Modern I-IV (10-17 Years)
Once a dancer turns ten, class placement is based on level instead of age. Modern is a dynamic and athletic genre of dance that is about experimentation, pushing the limits, and discovering new ways of using music and sound in relation to movement. Core strength and spinal articulation are key components. Modern Levels I-IV provide increasingly more exposure to Modern techniques like Horton, Graham, Cunningham, and Release.
