Ballet
Ballet (5-9 Years)
Dancers progress in technique training with the use of barre, centre, and floor work. Ballet provides a strong foundation and explores graceful and controlled movement. Ballet levels are 5-6 Years, 6-7 Years, 7-8 Years, 8-9 Years. Dancers are introduced to the barre at the 6-7 Year Level. The 8-9 Year Level is pivotal, as it is the transition year into the Ballet Level I-IV program for ages 10-17.
Ballet I-IV (10-17 Years)
Once a dancer turns ten, class placement is based on level instead of age. Dancers progress in Ballet training with the use of increasingly more advanced barre, centre, and floor work. Dancers may be invited to begin the Pointe Program once they gain the proper amount of strength, alignment, and technique. Director’s approval is required for placement in Ballet II-IV and the Pointe Program.
